Lenograstim
Lenograstim is a recombinant human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF). It is used to stimulate the production of white blood cells, specifically granulocytes, in the bone marrow. **Clinical Pearl:** In veterinary medicine, it is primarily used off-label to treat severe, life-threatening neutropenia associated with chemotherapy, parvovirus infection, or idiopathic neutropenia.
Mecanismo: Activates proliferation and differentiation of **granulocyte progenitor cells** → enhances **granulopoiesis** (production of neutrophils and other granulocytes in the bone marrow).
