概要
クリンバゾールは、獣医皮膚科においてマラセチア皮膚炎や皮膚糸状菌症の治療に、クロルヘキシジンと組み合わせて頻繁に使用される局所用イミダゾール系抗真菌薬です。
臨床のポイント： 局所的または軽度の表面酵母感染には非常に有効ですが、全身性または重度の症例では、全身性抗真菌薬の併用が必要になることがよくあります。クリンバゾールとクロルヘキシジンの相乗効果により、二次性細菌性膿皮症および酵母の異常増殖に対して優れた広域スペクトルを提供します。
作用機序
Climbazole inhibits cytochrome P450-dependent 14-alpha-demethylase → blocks the synthesis of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes → causes increased cell wall permeability → allows leakage of cellular contents, ultimately leading to fungal cell death.

Avoid contact with the patient's eyes and mucous membranes. Crucial: For shampoo formulations, a 5-10 minute contact time on the skin is required before rinsing to ensure efficacy.

- Skin cytology to monitor Malassezia and bacterial populations

Remains primarily in the stratum corneum and superficial epidermis.

Not extensively metabolized systemically due to poor absorption.

Removed mechanically via desquamation and washing.
過剰投与
Systemic overdose is highly unlikely due to the topical route of administration. Accidental ingestion of shampoos or wipes may cause mild, self-limiting gastrointestinal upset (hypersalivation, vomiting, diarrhea).
