眼科用抗アレルギー薬 / 肥満細胞安定化薬
クロモリンナトリウムは、主に獣医眼科においてアレルギー性結膜炎の管理に使用される**肥満細胞安定化薬**です。血管収縮作用、抗ヒスタミン作用、シクロオキシゲナーゼ（COX）阻害作用、またはその他の直接的な抗炎症作用は持ち合わせていません。受容体レベルで作用を遮断するのではなく、炎症性メディエーターの放出を防ぐため、予防的または継続的に使用した場合に最も効果を発揮します。
作用機序: Cromolyn sodium acts as a **mast cell stabilizer**. Upon antigen recognition, it blocks the degranulation of sensitized mast cells → prevents the release of **histamine** and **slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A)** into the surrounding ocular tissues.

- Resolution of clinical signs of allergic conjunctivitis (e.g., reduced hyperemia, chemosis, and pruritus)
過量投与
Overdose via the topical ophthalmic route is highly unlikely to cause systemic toxicity. Excess drops will simply wash out of the conjunctival sac.
