概要
ジクロロフェンは、主に犬および猫用の駆虫薬（条虫駆除薬）として使用されます。条虫（Taenia）および瓜実条虫（Dipylidium）には有効ですが、エキノコックス（Echinococcus）には無効です。影響を受けた条虫は消化管を通過する間に崩壊するため、投与後に排出されても便中で虫体を認識することはほとんどありません。
臨床のポイント： ジクロロフェンは古い世代の駆虫薬と見なされています。現代の獣医療では、より広域スペクトル（エキノコックスを含む）で安全性の高いプラジカンテルに広く取って代わられています。
作用機序
Dichlorophen acts by interfering with oxidative phosphorylation in the parasite → uncoupling of the electron transport chain → depletion of ATP (energy) reserves → paralysis, death, and subsequent disintegration of the tapeworm within the host's gastrointestinal tract.
安全性・警告
禁忌
- Animals weighing < 1.25 kg
- Animals < 6 months of age
- Repeating treatment within 10 days
- Repeating treatment immediately if vomiting occurs shortly after dosing

- Hyperaesthesia (rare)
- Loss of coordination/ataxia (rare)
注意事項
Vomiting: If vomiting occurs shortly after dosing, do not repeat the treatment immediately. Age/Weight Restrictions: Strictly avoid use in puppies and kittens under 6 months of age or weighing less than 1.25 kg. Dosing Limits: Do not administer more than 6 tablets at one time. If a higher dose is required, split the dose and give the remainder 3 hours later (provided no vomiting has occurred).

- Resolution of tapeworm segments (proglottids) in feces or around the perineum
- Vomiting post-administration
- Neurological signs (ataxia, hyperaesthesia) in sensitive individuals

Poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, allowing it to act locally on intestinal parasites.
分布
Remains primarily within the gastrointestinal lumen.

Any absorbed fraction is metabolized in the liver.
消失
Excreted primarily in the feces.
過剰投与
Overdosage may lead to gastrointestinal distress (severe vomiting) and neurological signs including hypersalivation, hyperaesthesia, and loss of coordination (ataxia). Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.
