概要
ジノプロストトロメタミンは、プロスタグランジンF2α（PGF2α）の合成アナログです。獣医療においては、主に子宮収縮を促進し子宮頸管の弛緩を誘発する子宮収縮薬として使用され、開放性子宮蓄膿症の重要な治療薬となっています。
警告： 気管支痙攣や流産を誘発する危険性があるため、妊婦および喘息患者はこの薬剤の取り扱いを厳格に避ける必要があります。
臨床のポイント： 小動物における主な適応症は開放性子宮蓄膿症ですが、PGF2αは大動物における黄体退行（黄体溶解）に広く使用されており、小動物の妊娠中絶に時折使用されることもあります。
作用機序
Dinoprost acts directly on the myometrium and corpus luteum.
- Binds to specific FP receptors on smooth muscle cells.
- → Increases intracellular calcium concentrations.
- → Induces strong, rhythmic uterine contractions.
- → Concurrently causes cervical relaxation to allow expulsion of uterine contents.
- → Induces luteolysis (regression of the corpus luteum), leading to a rapid drop in progesterone levels.
安全性・警告
禁忌
- Closed pyometra (due to severe risk of uterine rupture)
- Pregnancy (unless abortion is the intended outcome)
- Patients with respiratory disease/asthma (due to bronchoconstriction risk)

- Hypersalivation (drooling)
- Panting
- Tachycardia
- Vomiting
- Urination
- Defecation
- Transient hyperthermia
- Locomotor incoordination
- Mild CNS signs
注意事項
Human Safety Warning: Pregnant women, asthmatics, and individuals with bronchial or other respiratory problems should strictly avoid handling this agent. Accidental spillage on the skin should be washed off immediately with soap and water to prevent transdermal absorption.
- Side effects are very common but typically diminish within 30 minutes of drug administration.
- There is no adverse effect on future fertility.

- Resolution of pyometra (via ultrasound and monitoring of vaginal discharge)
- Heart rate and respiratory rate post-injection
- Signs of excessive distress or hyperthermia

Widely distributed but rapidly cleared.

Rapidly metabolized, primarily in the lungs (first-pass effect), to inactive metabolites.

Excreted primarily via the kidneys (urine) and feces.
過剰投与
Overdosage can lead to an exaggeration of the expected side effects, including severe vomiting, diarrhea, profound tachycardia, hyperthermia, and severe panting. In cases of closed pyometra, excessive doses or any use can cause uterine rupture and subsequent fatal peritonitis. Treatment is largely supportive as the drug has a very short half-life.

予想される副作用： 注射後すぐに、よだれ、パンティング（あえぎ呼吸）、心拍数の増加、嘔吐、下痢などの症状が見られることが非常によくあります。 持続時間： これらの症状は通常数分以内に始まりますが、一時的なものであり、通常30分以内に完全に治まります。
