概要
パミドロン酸はビスホスホネート系薬剤であり、獣医療では主にビタミンD中毒（コレカルシフェロール殺鼠剤の誤飲など）や悪性腫瘍に伴う高カルシウム血症の管理に使用されます。
臨床上の警告： パミドロン酸は腎毒性を引き起こす可能性があり、既存の腎機能障害を持つ患者には禁忌です。投与中は十分な水分補給が不可欠です。
臨床のポイント： 高カルシウム血症の治療に加えて、犬の悪性骨溶解や骨腫瘍（骨肉腫など）に伴う疼痛を管理するための補助的鎮痛薬としても頻繁に使用されます。
作用機序
Pamidronate binds strongly to hydroxyapatite crystals in the bone matrix. It inhibits osteoclast activity and induces osteoclast apoptosis → decreases bone resorption → lowers serum calcium concentrations and reduces osteolytic bone destruction and associated pain.

注意事項
Normal handling precautions should be observed. Adequate hydration is critical. Monitor renal parameters (BUN, creatinine) and serum electrolytes (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium) closely. Administer strictly as a slow intravenous infusion (over 2-4 hours) diluted in 0.9% NaCl to minimize nephrotoxicity.

過剰投与
Overdosage may lead to severe hypocalcaemia, hypophosphataemia, and hypomagnesaemia, as well as acute renal failure. Treatment is supportive, including intravenous fluids and electrolyte supplementation (e.g., calcium gluconate) as dictated by serum monitoring.

保管・安定性
Store intact vials at room temperature. Reconstituted solutions should be diluted in 0.9% NaCl and used according to manufacturer guidelines, typically within 24 hours if refrigerated.

- 危険なほど高い血中カルシウム濃度の治療や、骨がんによる痛みの緩和に使用されます。
