セコバルビタールおよびシンコカイン
バルビツール酸系（セコバルビタール）と局所麻酔薬（シンコカイン）を組み合わせた強力な動物用安楽死薬であり、犬および猫の安楽死に専ら使用されます。**臨床上の警告：** 人間に対して非常に毒性が高いため、誤って自己注射しないよう細心の注意が必要です。麻酔目的での使用は厳禁です。
作用機序: The combination works synergistically to ensure rapid and peaceful euthanasia: * **Secobarbital** → Rapidly and profoundly depresses the Central Nervous System (CNS), including the respiratory centers, leading to rapid loss of consciousness and cessation of respiration. * **Cinchocaine** → Exerts marked cardiotoxic effects at high doses. It depresses cardiac conduction → resulting in early cardiac arrest. **Clinical Pearl:** Because cardiac arrest is not dependent on the development of profound hypoxia, euthanasia with this combination is generally not accompanied by the agonal gasping that may occur with other agents.

- Must NOT be used for anesthesia (non-sterile and cardiotoxic)

- Confirmation of cardiac arrest (auscultation)
- Confirmation of respiratory arrest
- Absence of corneal reflex
- Loss of pupillary light reflex
過量投与
Not applicable. This medication is intended to induce death.
