유럽 살무사(Vipera berus) 교상 치료에 사용되는 특이적 면역글로불린(항독소).
임상 경고: 항독소의 가치는 물린 후 시간이 지남에 따라 감소합니다. 국소 부종에 대한 효과는 물린 후 24시간 이내 투여 시에만 국한되지만, 전신 증상이 있는 경우 24시간 이후에 투여해도 효과가 지속됩니다.
임상 팁: 소동물에서 회복 시간 단축을 결정적으로 뒷받침하는 발표된 연구는 없으나, 중증 중독에 대한 확실한 치료법입니다. 이 항독소는 다른 뱀 교상에는 효과가 없을 가능성이 높으므로, 다른 뱀에 물린 경우 즉시 전문가의 도움을 받아야 합니다. 영국에서는 VPIS ToxBox 서비스를 통해 긴급 조달이 가능할 수 있습니다.
작용 기전
Contains specific immunoglobulins (typically equine-derived F(ab')2 fragments) raised against Vipera berus venom. These antibodies directly bind to and neutralize the circulating venom toxins → preventing further tissue damage, coagulopathy, and systemic toxic effects.
