개요
이미다클로프리드는 개와 고양이의 벼룩 감염 치료 및 예방을 위해 널리 사용되는 국소용 외부 구충제입니다. 단일 제제로 사용되거나 진드기, 옴, 내부 기생충에 대한 구충 범위를 넓히기 위해 목시덱틴, 퍼메트린 또는 플루메트린과 같은 다른 구충제와 혼합하여 사용됩니다.
경고: 퍼메트린이 포함된 복합 제품(예: 어드밴틱스)은 고양이에게 매우 치명적인 독성을 가지므로 고양이에게는 절대 사용해서는 안 됩니다.
임상 팁: 최적의 벼룩 구제를 위해 승인된 곤충 성장 조절제(IGR)의 병용 및 환경 관리가 강력히 권장됩니다. 접촉하는 모든 동물을 동시에 치료해야 합니다.
작용 기전
Imidacloprid acts on the central nervous system of insects. It binds to post-synaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors → causes continuous nerve stimulation → results in paralysis and death of adult fleas and their larvae.

- Unweaned puppies and kittens <8 weeks of age (sole agent)
- Kittens <10 weeks or puppies <7 weeks of age (flumethrin collar)
- Pregnancy and lactation (flumethrin collar)
- Cats (permethrin combination products)
- Kittens <9 weeks or <1kg, puppies <7 weeks (moxidectin combination)
부작용
- Transient pruritus at application site
- Erythema at application site
- Salivation (if ingested due to bitter taste)
- Transient lethargy
- Agitation
- Inappetence
주의
Environmental Toxicity: Imidacloprid and its combinations are dangerous to aquatic organisms and birds. Treated dogs should not swim in surface water for at least 48 hours after spot-on application, and collars should be removed before swimming.
Feline Safety: Ensure cats do not groom dogs recently treated with permethrin-containing combination products.
Avoid applying the product to damaged skin. Prevent the animal from licking the application site until dry.
