개요
시트르산 나트륨은 삼투성 하제로, 일반적으로 대변 연화제(알킬설포아세트산 나트륨, 라우릴설포아세트산 나트륨 또는 라우릴황산 나트륨 등)와 함께 미세 관장제로 제조됩니다. 주로 변비를 치료하고 직장경 검사 및 방사선 검사를 위해 하부 위장관을 준비하는 데 소량 관장제로 사용됩니다.
임상 경고: 염증성 장질환(IBD) 환자에게는 사용이 권장되지 않습니다.

작용 기전
Acts as an osmotic laxative → causes water to be retained within the lumen of the GI tract. The addition of a stool softener lowers surface tension → augments the laxative action by allowing water to penetrate and soften the feces.
