概覽
溴己新是一種支氣管分泌物溶解劑和祛痰藥，在獸醫學中用於輔助治療以黏稠黏液為特徵的呼吸道疾病。臨床提示： 常作為氣管支氣管炎、肺炎和慢性呼吸道疾病的輔助治療，以改善氣道清除率。
作用機制
Bromhexine acts as a bronchial secretolytic. It disrupts the structure of acid mucopolysaccharide fibres in mucoid sputum → produces a less viscous mucus → makes it easier to expectorate and clear from the respiratory tract. Clinical Pearl: It may also increase the concentration of certain antibiotics in bronchial secretions, enhancing their efficacy in respiratory infections.

- Use with caution in patients with gastric ulceration

- Generally well tolerated
- Mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) possible

Normal precautions should be observed.
Clinical Pearl: Use with caution in animals with a history of gastric ulceration, as mucolytics can theoretically break down the protective gastric mucosal barrier.

Rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract following oral administration.

Widely distributed, concentrating in respiratory tissues.

Undergoes extensive hepatic metabolism.
排除
Excreted primarily via urine as metabolites.
過量
Overdose is rarely reported but may result in gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting and diarrhea. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
